I first knew I wanted to be a counselor at the age of 11 after a counselor helped me navigate the challenges of being the child in a stepfamily. My experience crystallized my desire to be of service to others; I realized in that moment that if I could make even one other person feel as accepted and understood as I felt, I would consider myself successful.
Since that time, I have pursued my passion to support and help my clients navigate their challenging life transitions. I have over 15 years’ experience as a therapist working with teens, adults, couples and families. Among my areas of specialty are parent-child relationships, stepfamily dynamics, and youth mental health and addictions support. Jennifer’s Clinical Experience
My approach to counseling involves collaborating with you to identify your goals, asking curious questions to explore possibilities, and creating a safe space for you to effectively address your personal life challenges. I work from a place of compassion and understanding to help you build on your strengths so that you can attain the personal growth and connection you desire.
I have been married for over 20 years, and am the proud mother of two teenage daughters. In my spare time, I volunteer with the PTSA at my daughter’s school as well as the district PTSA Council supporting their Parent Education Program. I am also a cat foster parent with the Seattle Humane Society.
